A few weeks ago, My huge, amazing family celebrated my Dad's 50th Birthday. Yes, ED IS 50!!
We had an awesome BBQ, Watched a slide show of his life that Cheryl put together, and his brothers and sisters and his kids said a little something about how special he is to us. It was such a great night. These are a few of my favorite Edwin Franklin Rogers Jr. memories.
- Playing Zelda for hours: He was the nintendo master growing up.
- Shark Game, Holding on to his back and he'd swim under the water across the pool. We spent most of the summer in the pool. Other favorite pool games were ring toss and jumping off his shoulders.
- Camping: His Dutch-oven skills are bomb diggity and no one can roast a mallow so exquisitely
- The Voice of the Rebels: Ever since we moved back to S.G. he has announced something. Dixie Basketball and Football, and many other local events, and now the St. George Roadrunners.
- I'm With Ed: My Dad was the Ambassador Advisor at Dixie State for ten years. He made many friends and helped many students with their educational endeavors. One year for our ambassador trip to California, we all wore bright orange T-shirts that said in big bold Letters, "I'm With Ed!" As we walked around Magic Mountain people would ask who Ed was, and we would say, "Oh ED! He Is the greatest!"
He really is the Greatest! Greatest Dad, Example, and friend a girl could ask for. He loves his kids so much and he would do anything for us. I have been so blessed to be his daughter and I know that everything really is alright when "I'm with Ed!".
Happy Fathers Day Dad! I love you So much!

I loved being with Ed! He really is an awesome man and I feel lucky to have been an ambassador for him.
That made me grin from ear to ear! I still have my orange T-shirt. I wear it around the house and it NEVER fails that if someone comes over, they ask me "Who's Ed?" I was so BLESSED to be with Ed for two wonderful years at Dixie! You do have a wonderful and amazing dad! Such a great man!
What a guy! I sure do respect him, he is the greatest. Tell him happy B-day !
Thank you Lyndy. Great memories - I appreciate you sharing them. I am a very proud father of four beautiful, smart, witty, talented, crazy kids.
I love you.
