So I mentioned in my "Cant Poop on Thomas" Post How I never liked Thomas.
But alas, He is a integral part of my daily life.
I've come to accept him and find him way less annoying and
I maybe even enjoy him at times.
Well, there is another aspect of my life that I never EVER thought that I would come to accept.
and that is this #.
84737.
This is my new zipcode.
This zipcode is for the town of Hurricane, UTAH.
Years ago, I drove the route to Hurricane for the Southwest Center Youth Program.
Every time we came up over the hill into the H valley I swore to myself that I would never live here.
It was always windy.
and dirty.
Everyday at 3:00 we'd pass a crazy old man with a long, white santa beard, on a tricycle peddling his way to the Linns Market.
At 3:30 We'd pass this same gentleman peddling his way back up the hill with a 24 pack of Milwaukee's Best Beer in his tricycle basket.
and to me thats all who lived here. Crazy Hillbillies.
Well Now we are some of those Hillbillies!
and I actually really love it.
{Our Neighborhood}
Our Lil Townhouse is super cute.
It was super cheap.
and its gonna be perfect for us for the next few years.
Our mortgage is just as cheap as our rent was and once Jon is done with school we may stick around or vamonos muchachos.
We arent actually in the H Valley.
{Out our front door}
We are next to the Sky Mountain Golf course and its beautiful.
Its still pretty windy but its beautiful.
Everyone we have met out here is incredibly nice and we love the drive out here.
Yesterday when I was coming home I got pulled over for going 71 in a 55.
I had no idea!!
I was looking at the mountains.
Then the officer was the nicest guy ever.
We chatted on the side of the highway about how pretty it is out here.
I'm thankful for you, hurricane cop, for just giving me a warning.
I'm thankful for you, little Hurricane Home for being just right for us right now.
I'm thankful for you "Beep,beep,be,beep" {Max's name for his Robot} for being so cute on Max's wall.{Thanks Rachel}
I'm thankful for you, Everyone who helped us move in.
I'm thankful for my Dad and Cheryl for providing us with a fridge and $'s to get some needed amenities for the joint. {blinds screen lightbulbs and such}
I'm thankful for Jon Butler for buying us our first place.
I'm thankful for my bed.
Here are some pics of the place.
We arent all the way put together.
but we are getting close.
Im hoping by Christmas to be moved in.

The new place looks great:) How fun to have a new, fun place to call home. Your little guys are adorable and we miss you but great to see what's going on and that all is well. You just got put on my Visiting Teaching list... now that you've moved I was kinda bummed but so be it;) Keep in touch.
Old Man River. I totally forget about him. He was constant, and I liked that.
I love your place! You have a garage. Graham would be jealous! :)
I din't realize you live in our neck of the woods. It took me a while, but I am finally able to call this place home. I am glad you are enjoying it.
How cute is your house! I love it and hope to come see it next time we come down ;) Baby Rocko is so cute and sounds like such a great little baby.
I hope we both get girls the next time around too! I wouldnt mind if Stace had the first one to show me the ropes of handling a girl....I dont know if im up too it just yet!
It's funny that you say you would never live there because of the wind, etc. We ALWAYS said the same things and then we ended up there, but in "old" H-town and now we aren't there :( But we loved it there as well. Our ward was awesome, neighbors were awesome (my sister and family) and it just felt good. I'm glad you are happy there and got it for such a good price...that was our problem...it wasn't a good price.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your home! Congrats!
I love this. I felt the same way about Ivins. Windy, and dirty. But we LOVE it now. Yes it's windy but its QUIET. Yes there is dirt, but it comes from the BEAUTIFUL mountains in our backyard. I'm so happy for you guys, and that you are feeling more settled.
It's so sweet. Congratulations, I'm glad you got such a deal. It's funny how we usually don't end up where we say we will. I too am jealous of your garage. (:
I love your blog Lyndy. You make me want to be a better Mom that just hangs out with my kid singing songs.
Lyndy... I live just around the corner in good ole T-Town..
You'll love H-town.
Its funny, because I grew up there and never felt anything but love. That being said, there have been times in recent years that I drive by and think, "this town is kinda dirty."
But, there is so much to love. Mostly the super great people. I wanna come see your place and kiddos.
Love. Ballard
