Happy Birthday Girls!

Last week began with Max at Preschool with me on Monday. Not the Usual Matix Monday but he enjoyed it. I went in to do some work to prepare for Fun Day, Thanksgiving Feast, and Christmas show! and so I could leave the next day to go see Mama Mia with my Sista-inlaws for Andi's B-day!

Trent and Andi are the cutest couple ever. Trent surprised her on her last birthday before baby Staheli comes to party. We showed up at Dinner while she was in the bathroom and surprise!! I loved watching Trent look at Andi. He had the biggest smile as he watched her be super happy and receive her fun gifts. It was such a fun gift for all of us. Thank you guys for everything! You are the coolest!
Mama Mia was awesome and it was so great to hang out with Sam, Kristi, and Judy at the condo.
Then on Thursday Stacie, Lacey, Kath, and I went to Cafe Rio for my Momma's birthday.
I have such an amazing mom. She inspires me daily.
She always has a spotless house and
chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven.
She texts us funny messages. My favorite was "My Momma with a Lama!"
She loves Matix so much and can't wait for more grandbabies.
I love that she is herself at all times. She's truly genuine.

Then Kate and I went to Fake Lunch on Friday for her birthday! It was fake lunch cuz we are both on diets and we only had water and talked about stupid diets. K8-train. Thanks for all the love and support you have giving me threw this difficult time. I am lucky to have a great friend like you to give up food with me. We are gonna be hot!...

A Mellow Matix Monday and Thriller

Today was a different kind of Matix Monday. It was still great but mellow. Max wasn't very playful today, but he was very cuddly. I wondered if he wasn't feeling well. He did seem to have a little fever. I think his canines are on the way.
We cuddled in bed while watching Backyardigans. then had lunch. Grilled cheese sandwich and Pineapple slices. and a cupcake. well the frosting from the cupcake. Then bath-time and nap-time, Then it was time to pick up Dad from work. It wasn't ultra-exciting but it was ultra-happy!

Tomorrow we are back at Talent Sprouts and starting our busy week. Dancing, singing, learning all about the letter "P" and Halloween parties and parades.

Tonight was girls night out with Ed. He took Cheryl, Lacey, Stacie and I to see Thriller. It was fantastic! Every time I am at Tuacahn I want to perform there again. Stace, Lace, Me and hopefully Kody if we can talk him into it, are gonna try out for Footloose in the Spring. Ha! I am in no way a dancer but I got some snazzy leg warmers so hopefully they will make up for my lack of talent.

Matix Monday!

I have been bad at keepin' the blog up. I used to be good at documenting my Matix mondays, the truth is I really haven't made my Mondays off with Max that fun. Its my only day off in the week and I usually spend it doing the laundry and taking a really good shower in which I can actually shave both of my legs. Today I have decided to rededicate mondays to Max. The laundry will always be there...and my little guy is growing up too fast. For the first part of the morning I did the usual chores then we...

Walked to the grub-shak and shared a slice of pizza (it cost 1.25 and I happen to find that in change this morning)
Then we went to the park and got to walk through the tubies and go down the slides.
Then we came home for a really great bath and Max splashed his little heart out!
Now it is Nap-time! and Blog-time.

Today as I walked to the park through my ghetto neighborhood, I reflected on what the prophet said yesterday. I have been guilty of dreaming about tomorrow and not truly living today. I am so happy to be where I am with my boys. They are my joy on this journey. I am especially lucky to have Matix Monday's!

Its another Matix Monday!

Max Loves MOTAB! Conference was great to watch and Matix just starred at the Screen every time they sang. It was funny.
Max Loves to Scoot! He is working on the crawling and he face plants from sitting position to floor. then he scoots backwards around the house.
Max Loves to grab faces! It hurts. I have a big scratch on my face that Jon said no one would notice but then my mom said, "You have stuff on your face..."and I said, "Its my scratch." Remember the commercial where its the lady with the scar and you just stare at it...thats me.

It's another Matix Monday!

Well, This Easter Weekend was very exciting for little Matix.


He got to go swimming for the very first time.

He got a cute shark swimsuit and ducky floaty.

He was a champ at blowing bubbles and wore his little self right out!
Then we went to the arts festival and ran into Aunt Andi and Grandma.
On Easter, Max got to hunt eggs with Uncle Matt.

He found the "Matix" egg in the tree and was very serious about the whole situation. I love that the eggs and his head were the same shape.

Max and Grandpa are finally Best friends. Grandpa used to be a little scary, but now he's the best!
In years to come, Max will be so embarrassed about what his mother posted on the Internet but I am so proud of my boy.
He has three teeth and hasn't "CHOMPED" me once. "Max, I love you so much...Mommy is so thankful!" and at Nikki's bridal shower he had his first big boy stinks. He screamed and turned bright red but Success!
Its funny how the little things in life truly are what its all about.

This is Matix.


This is Matix's room.

He loves it.

He will chill in his crib forever.
I will check on him thinking he is sleeping and he's just hanging out chewing his feet or spinning his toy.



I really tried to be a crafty momma and I made his bumper, bedskirt, and curtains. We wanted a piratey theme and i didn't want to spend a ton of money so we printed off some pirate stuff onto fabric and whala..cheapsy pirate bedroom.

My favorite part is the net that Jon made. He found this net on the rode, we cleaned it and stuck it to the wall. Wow we are cheap...but i thought it was clever. The red lobster was the final addition to the room. I was walking around Target trying to speed up my labor and we found the Lobster. THen my contractions started coming fast and I was admitted into the hospital 15 minutes later. Jon said it was all because of the Lobster. Max couldn't come till he had it.

On Friday Max had his 6 month Doc App. It was super sad to get THREE shots. but he was a little champ. WE found out he weighs 17 lbs. and he is 27 inches. and his head was off the charts huge. Then the doc measured it again and its in the 95th percentile. SO the kid is tall and skinny with a big'ol noggin'. He was cryin' himself to sleep on his huge pilla...shots are no fun!
(So I've decided to have a monday post about Max. Hopefully i can keep up on it and do it weekly. I love the idea of eventually printing my blog and then I will have another little record of what we have been up to. I am not good at scrap-booking so this is gonna suffice.)
